Sealed Air approached us with a clear vision to empower their 24,000 employees to understand food saving at a global, regional and local level.
As part of their campaign they invited us to help people understand new ways of buying, planning, storing and preparing food so they would have the knowledge and tools to change their habits.
They were also keen that people would be empowered to share their experiences with family, friends, colleagues and local communities.
Employees in Northampton held a ‘Lunch & Learn’ session to gain insight into the everyday things they could do to save more food and save money. They held a fun quiz designed to get everyone thinking and talking about saving food. And they showcased where to store food to keep it fresher for longer, meal planning, and sharing meal recipes made from typical leftovers.
At the end of the workshop people enjoyed a specially prepared lunch made from surplus or leftover ingredients. And inspired by the Love Food Hate Waste pledge tree, employees made a pledge to do at least one thing differently to cut food waste.
