Over the past 12 months things have certainly been different for us all but there’s some positives to take from a year that has, at times, been trying! For instance, because working from home has become commonplace, more people than ever are eating breakfast - arguably the most important meal of the day! We’ve also embraced technology like never before, with Zoom quizzes, FaceTime catch-ups and virtual meetings.

With that in mind, alongside the fact that our favourite brunch spots are currently closed, we’re hosting a Zero Waste Brunch on Sunday 21st March and we would love you to join us!

What is a Zero Waste Brunch?

We’ve pulled together 2 brunch recipes that are both food-waste friendly, with an option for those who want something quick and tasty and an option for those who like a lazy Sunday morning in the kitchen.

The idea is that you cook for yourself/your household but that you encourage your friends and family to do the same. Whether you join them virtually, or just know that you are sharing an experience with them - we hope it forges a sense of community and togetherness in a time where we’re physically apart.

How do I get involved?

All you need to do is decide what you want to eat, do your shopping and tell your friends! We’d love it if you could share any images or videos from your brunch - and we’ll reward one lucky bruncher with a lovely 'At Home Breakfast Kit' for future brunching!

The menu

Short on time? Try the Bang-Anything-In Breakfast Burrito. Utilise fajita leftovers, miscellaneous veg and any greens you’ve got to make this egg-cellent brunch. Lashings of hot sauce highly recommended!

Looking for a more leisurely option? Get the coffee on and make a start on our Fancy Homemade Beans on Toast. Fabulously freezable - a big batch of these will have you brunching in style for the foreseeable future.
